COL BKB: Pittsburgh 73, Dusquesne 56

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Aaron Gray had 15 points and 14 rebounds Wednesday night as second-ranked Pittsburgh blasted Duquesne, 73-56.

The Panthers opened up a 30-10 lead with just over nine minutes left in the first half and the contest was never in doubt. They coasted in the final 20 minutes after a 42-28 halftime lead.

Mike Cook had 11 points and five rebounds for Pittsburgh. Sam Young and Tyrell Biggs scored 10 points each for the Panthers, who rose to 9-0 for the season.

Robert Mitchell scored 13 points and Stephen Wood scored 12 for Duquesne. Scott Grote, Aaron Jackson and Gary Tucker all scored seven points for the Dukes (2-5), who have lost five in a row after winning their first two games.

Pittsburgh won the battle of the boards, 37-27.
