COL BKB: Oklahoma St 72, Syracuse 68

NEW YORK, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Mario Boggan and James Curry scored 21 and 20 points respectively Tuesday as No. 24 Oklahoma State beat No. 21 Syracuse, 72-68, in the Jimmy V Classic.

The Cowboys (10-0) are off to their best start since 2001-02.

Demetris Nichols scored 26 points and Terrence Roberts added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Orange (7-2), who turned the ball over 23 times.

Roberts' lay-up with nearly 7 1/2 minutes remaining pulled Syracuse within 58-54, but the Cowboys reeled off a nine straight points to extend the lead to 67-54 with about four minutes to play.
