NHL: New Jersey 4, Philadelphia 3 (SO)

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Zach Parise and Brian Gionta both scored shootout goals Saturday night as New Jersey topped the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-3.

Gionta's goal was the game-winner after Philadelphia's Petr Nedved failed to score on his attempt.

Parise, Patrik Elias and Brad Lukowich all scored once in regulation -- with Lukowich's short-handed goal in the third period forcing overtime.

Martin Brodeur made 22 saves on 25 shots for the Devils, who faced a 2-1 deficit after the first period, but rallied for their second straight win following a four-game losing streak.

Todd Fedoruk, Randy Jones and Mike Knuble all scored once; Fedoruk and Randy Jones each had a goal and an assist; while Antero Niittymaki allowed three goals on 32 shots for the Flyers, who had won three of their previous four games.

On the power play, New Jersey was 0-for-3, and Philadelphia was 1-for-5.
