COL BKB: Alabama 78, Tennessee St. 60

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Jermareo Davidson scored 22 points Saturday to lead the seventh-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide to a 78-60 victory over Tennessee State.

Mykal Riley added 14 points for the undefeated Crimson Tide (7-0). Ronald Steele had 12 points and Alonzo Gee scored 11 for Alabama.

Clarence Matthews had 17 points for the Tigers, who lost for the first time in three games. Moraye Ivy added 15 points and LaDarious Weaver had 12 for Tennessee State.

The Tigers stayed close until Alabama ended the first half with a 9-2 run that gave the Tide a 43-30 halftime margin.
