NFL: New England 17, Chicago 13

FOXBORO, Mass., Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Patriots' cornerback Asante Samuel intercepted three passes in a sloppy game that featured nine turnovers Sunday as New England beat Chicago, 17-13.

Samuel's three interceptions tied a franchise record. His third pick, in the closing minutes, sealed Chicago's fate.

Tom Brady was 22-for-33 for 269 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for New England. Laurence Maroney picked up 33 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries, and Ben Watson scored once on six catches for 89 yards for the Patriots, (8-3), who overcame five turnovers to win their second straight game.

Rex Grossman was 15-for-34 for 176 yards and three interceptions for Chicago. Thomas Jones rushed for 99 yards on 23 carries, Cedric Benson ran for a touchdown, and Robbie Gould kicked two field goals for the Bears (9-2), who lost for the first time on the road this season.

The Bears trailed, 10-3, at the half, but tied the game, 10-10, early in the fourth quarter.
