
HONOLULO, Hawaii, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Colt Brennan's touchdown pass to Ian Sample with 1:27 to play led the 25th-ranked Hawaii Warriors to a 42-35 victory over the Purdue Boilermakers.
Brennan finished 33-for-48 with 434 yards, three touchdowns and one interception for the Warriors (10-2), who won a school-record nine consecutive games. Nate Ilaoa had 159 rushing yards and two touchdowns, Davone Bess had six catches for 117 yards and Jason Rivers had six catches for 103 yards for Hawaii, which scored at least 41 points in each of its last nine games.
Curtis Painter completed 29 of 42 attempts for 357 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions for Purdue. Dustin Keller had six receptions for 69 yards and two touchdowns for the Boilermakers (8-5), who had a three-game winning streak stopped.
