SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Patrick Marleau scored his 200th career goal and had two assists Wednesday night as the San Jose Sharks beat the Los Angeles Kings, 6-3.
Joe Thornton had a goal and two assists, and Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Joe Pavelski scored their first NHL career goals for San Jose, which had lost in Anaheim Tuesday, 5-0.
Pavelski was playing in his first NHL game after being recalled from the Sharks' American Hockey League affiliate in Worcester. He took Jonathan Cheechoo's spot on the roster after the Sharks put Cheechoo on injured reserve earlier Wednesday.
Steve Bernier and Marcel Goc also scored goals, and Vesa Toskala made 24 saves for San Jose.
Scott Thornton, Dustin Brown and Lubomir Visnovsky scored for Los Angeles, and Dan Cloutier surrendered five goals on 12 shots for the Kings -- before being pulled for Mathieu Garon, who gave up one goal on eight shots.
