GREEN BAY, Wis., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is expected to be out for the rest of the season after breaking his foot playing the New England Patriots.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Rodgers likely broke his foot in the third quarter and played the entire fourth quarter with the injury, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. Green Bay lost 35-0.

The Packers are searching for a backup quarterback to finish the season.

Brett Favre, the starting quarterback, who injured his ulnar nerve in the second quarter, is expected to be ready to play next Monday against Seattle.
