EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- The Chicago Bears scored the game's only points Sunday afternoon and won a defensive tussle against the feisty New York Jets, 10-0.
The Bears' points came on a 20-yard field goal by Robbie Gould early in the third period and a 57-yard touchdown pass from Rex Grossman to Mark Bradley with 14:50 left in the game.
Grossman was 11-for-22 for 119 yards; Thomas Jones rushed for 121 yards on 23 carries; and Bradley caught four passes for 80 yards for the Bears, who won for the second straight week at the Meadowlands after beating the New York Giants, 38-20, last Sunday.
Chad Pennington was 19-for-35 for 162 yards, with no touchdowns and two interceptions. Cedrick Houston gained 50 yards on 11 carries and Laveranues Coles made eight receptions for 80 yards for the Jets, who have split their last four games.
The Bears lead the NFL with 151 first-half points but scored none in Sunday's first half.
