COL FB: Notre Dame 41, Army 9

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Brady Quinn passed for 218 yards and three touchdowns and Darius Walker rushed for 162 yards and two TDs Saturday as fifth-ranked Notre Dame beat Army, 41-9.

Quinn connected on 22-of-30 passes with an interception. Jeff Samardzija caught nine passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. Rhema McKnight caught two touchdown passes for the Fighting Irish (10-1), who go to Los Angeles next Saturday to play fourth-ranked Southern Cal.

Army quarterback Carson Williams was only 1-of-8 passing for 16 yards with an interception. Backup quarterback David Pevoto was 7-of-13 for 76 yards and a touchdown. Wesley McMahand rushed for 41 yards on 11 carries.

Army (3-8), has lost five straight games.
