COL BKB: Ohio State 81, Kent State 59

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Ron Lewis scored a team-high 18 points as fourth-ranked Ohio State trounced Kent State, 81-59, in the finals of the BCA Classic.

Also in a balanced attack Sunday, Jamar Butler had 14 points and seven assists, Othello Hunter had 13 points and eight rebounds and David Lightly totaled 10 points, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals for the 3-0 Buckeyes.

Omni Smith paced the Golden Flashes, 2-1, with 9 points.

Armon Gates, Haminn Quaintance, Isaac Knight, and Chris Singletary all scored 8 points as Kent State was out-scored, 48-29, in the second half after trailing 33-30 at the break.

The Golden Flashes out-rebounded the Buckeyes 28-25 but committed 20 turnovers and shot just 40 percent from the field.
