DURHAM, N.C., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Freshman Brian Zoubek had 18 points and six rebounds, leading the 11th-ranked Duke Blue Devils to an 86-43 rout of the Columbia Lions.
Jon Scheyer and Lance Thomas each scored 12 points and DeMarcus Nelson had 11 points, three rebounds, and two assists for the1-0 Blue Devils, who won their third straight home opener at the CBE Classic at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
John Baumann was the only player in double figures with 13 points for the Lions, 0-1.
Duke led, 46-24, at the half, and also out-scored the Lions, 40-19, in the final 20 minutes.
The Blue Devils had a big 36-21 advantage in rebounds and forced Columbia to commit 19 turnovers.
