COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Nationwide and the PGA Tour said they were extending the company's developmental golf tour sponsorship through 2013.
The PGA said that since Nationwide took over sponsorship of its developmental tour in 2003, television audiences, prize money and course attendance were all up.
"The PGA Tour is very pleased to extend our relationship with Nationwide," said PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem. "The tour has experienced new heights with the assistance of Nationwide and we are delighted that the company continues to share our passion for golf and the Nationwide Tour."
The Nationwide Tour this week is contesting its season-ending Nationwide Tour Championship. The top 20 players on the tour's money list after Sunday will move on to the PGA Tour in 2007.
