
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Nov. 5 (UPI) -- David Garrard threw three touchdown passes Sunday afternoon as Jacksonville walloped the Tennessee Titans, 37-7.
Garrard, playing in place of Byron Leftwich, completed 12 of 22 passes for 177 yards.
The Jaguars (5-3) built a 14-0 lead after the first quarter and were never threatened.
Fred Taylor rushed for 79 yards on 13 carries, and Ernest Wilford caught three passes fir 44 yards and two touchdowns. Maurice Drew-Jones had three catches for 66 yards, George Wrighster caught a touchdown pass, and Josh Scobee kicked three field goals for the Jaguars (5-3), who won for the third time in their last four games.
Drew Bennett caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from Tennessee quarterback Vincent Young to avert a shutout. Bo Scaife made five receptions for 70 yards, and Travis Henry gained 67 yards on 19 carries for the Titans (2-6), who had won their previous two games.
