Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 4 (UPI) -- John David Booty threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns Saturday as ninth-ranked Southern California posted a 42-0 victory over winless Stanford.
Booty completed 12-of-21 passes and Dwayne Jarrett caught five passes for 118 yards and a TD for the Trojans (7-1, 5-1 Pac-10).
Terrell Thomas returned a blocked field goal 71 yards for a touchdown and Chauncey Washington had 12 carries for 74 yards for USC.
T.C. Ostrander connected on 16-of-30 passes for 178 yards, but was intercepted twice for Stanford (0-9, 0-6), which suffered its 16th straight loss to a top 25 team.
The Cardinal has lost 11 in a row going back to last season. Stanford's last win was 20-17, at Oregon State Nov. 12, 2005.
