QUEBEC CITY, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Serbia's Jelena Jankovic Thursday advanced to the quarterfinals of the WTA Tour's Bell Challenge tennis tournament in Quebec City, Quebec.
In a second-round match, Jankovic, the top seed, rallied to beat unseeded American Vania King, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.
No. 4 seed Severine Bremond of France topped unseeded Greta Arn of Germany, 6-1, 6-4. Eighth-seeded Olga Poutchkova of Russia came back to beat qualifier Tanja Ostertag of Germany, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2. And qualifier Lilia Osterloh of the United States topped fellow non-seed Anastassia Rodionova of Russia, 6-4, 6-1.
Jankovic will face Poutchkova in Friday's quarters, while Bremond will meet Slovakia's Martina Sucha, who beat fifth-seeded Sybille Bammer of Austria Wednesday. Osterloh will face Canada's Aleksandra Wozniak.
