NHL: Minnesota 5, Vancouver 2

ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Brian Rolston and Todd White each had a goal and an assist and Niklas Backstrom made 19 saves in relief Wednesday night as Minnesota beat Vancouver, 5-2.

Nick Schultz, Pascal Dupuis and Branko Radivojevic also scored goals for the Wild, who won for the fourth time in five games. Backstrom came into the game in the second period, replacing Manny Fernandez, who gave up two goals on 11 shots in the first.

Ryan Kesler and Jan Bulis scored goals and Roberto Luongo made 19 saves for the Canucks, who lost their second straight.

Minnesota went 3-for-4 on the power play while Vancouver failed to score in six power-play chances.
