LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Favorite English Channel drew the No. 10 post position for Saturday's $3 million John Deere Breeders' Cup Turf at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.
English Channel was listed at 7-2 with John Velazquez in the irons.
Hurricane Run, going off at 3-1 with Christophe Soumillon aboard, drew the No. 7 post position and Cacique, at 4-1 with Edgar Prado in the saddle, drew No. 6.
The rest of the field includes No. 1, Go Deputy, Oliver Pesslier, 6-1; No. 2, T.H. Approval, Alex Solis, 15-1; No. 3, Icy Atlantic, Mike Luzzi, 30-1; No. 4, Scorpion, Michael Kinane, 6-1; No. 5, Rush Bay, Rafael Bejarano, 20-1; No. 8, Better Talk Now, Ramon Dominguez, 12-1; No. 9, Red Rocks, Frankie Dettori, 10-1; and No. 11, Silverfoot, Mark Guidry, 30-1.
