Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Godolphin's two entrants in Saturday's $2 Million NetJets Breeders' Cup Mile were the first European runners out of the barn Tuesday at Churchill Downs.
Echo of Light and Librettist jogged the main track and are set to canter Wednesday.
"They just got used to the track today," Godolphin traveling head lad Sam Avis said, still mulling Librettist's last outing, a sixth place finish in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.
"But he came out of it fine and he's back on track now," Avis said.
Frankie Dettori is riding Echo of Light and French jockey Christophe Soumillon is due to be aboard Librettist.
