LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Trainer D. Wayne Lucas says Pegasus Wind is just about ready for Saturday's $2 Million Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Churchill Downs.
Pegasus Wind looped the track and then galloped briefly in the mile chute Monday.
"Everything we have done all summer has pretty much been pointed to this one," Lukas said. "We feel comfortable where we are at. I think he is doing well enough to be a factor and I am eager to get a two-turn race for him.
Got the Last Laugh, with jockey Rene Douglas in the irons, breezed 5f at Churchill Downs in 1:02.
"He went good," trainer Bill Mott said. "He went from the three-eighths to the wire in 36 2/5. It looked like he went well. We were happy with him. He's never been a big work horse."
Principle Secret got a feel for the track galloping 1 1/2-miles. The Storm Cat colt is a favorite of Bonnie Paasch, wife of trainer Christopher Paasch.
Zanjero took his final prep with a four-furlong run in 50 1/5.
"It was a nice even work," trainer Scott Blasi said. "Just what we wanted. He doesn't need much because with the two-turn race at Keeneland under him, he's done plenty."
