NFL: N.Y. Giants 17, Tampa Bay 3

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Plaxico Burress had seven catches for 86 yards and a touchdown Sunday afternoon as the New York Giants won a defensive tussle against Tampa Bay, 17-3.

Eli Manning was 16-for-31 for 154 yards and one touchdown and 154 yards, while Tiki Barber rushed for 68 yards on 26 carries and caught three passes for 20 yards for the Giants (5-2), who have a four-game winning streak.

Manning has thrown a touchdown pass in 11 straight games -- the longest current streak by an NFL quarterback.

Bruce Gradkowski was 20-of-48 for 139 yards and no touchdowns for Tampa Bay. Cadillac Williams was held to just 20 yards on eight rushing attempts, but added five pass receptions for 34 yards, and reserve running back Michael Pittman caught five passes for 34 yards for the Buccaneers (2-5), who had beaten Philadelphia last Sunday.
