NHL: Minnesota 3, Anaheim 2 (OT)

ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Mikko Koivu scored the lone goal of the shootout Friday night to give the Minnesota Wild a 3-2 win over Anaheim.

Nick Schultz and Brian Rolston each scored once in regulation, three players had one assist and goalie Manny Fernandez made 22 saves on 24 shots for the Wild (9-1-0), who have 18 points and lead the Northwest Division.

Andy McDonald and Chris Kunitz both scored goals, Dustin Penner and Rob Niedermayer each had one assist and goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 31 saves for the Ducks (7-1-3), who lead the Pacific Division with 17 points.

On the power play, Anaheim was 0-for-2 and Minnesota was 0-for-6.
