"Nenad is an integral part of the Nets success," said Rod Thorn, the team president. "We look forward to his continued improvement in the years to come."

The team exercised the third-year option on Wright's contract. Wright, picked in the 15th round of the 2005 draft, averaged 13.7 points and 3.1 rebounds in seven preseason games. In his rookie season, he averaged 1.8 points in 39 games.

"Antoine worked extremely hard on his game during the off-season," Thorn said. "His improved performance during the preseason warrants this extension."
