Phoenix is last in the Pacific Division with just six points.

Because former back-up goalie Mike Morrison was placed on waivers Wednesday, LeNeveu was making his first NHL start after being recalled from San Antonio of the American Hockey League.

Fernando Pisani and Petr Sykora both scored once, four players each had one assist and goaltenders Dwayne Roloson and Jussi Markkanen were beaten six times on 20 shots for the Oilers (6-4-0), who have lost two games in a row.

On the power play, the Oilers were 0-3 and Phoenix went 2-for-4.
