LYON, France, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- No. 4 seed Richard Gasquet of France Friday advanced to the semifinals at the Lyon Tennis Grand Prix men's tennis tournament.
In the quarters, Gasquet beat fifth-seeded Robin Soderling of Sweden, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. Soderling won this event in 2004.

In an all-French match-up, Sebastien Grosjean was beaten by Marc Gicquel, 7-5, 1-6, 7-6 (7-5).
Seventh-seeded Belgian Xavier Malisse topped American Robby Ginepri, 6-4, 6-3, and France's Arnaud Clement beat eighth-seeded Nicolas Almagro of Spain, 6-3, 6-2.
In Saturday's semis, Gasquet faces Clement and Gicquel will play Malisse.
A victory by Gicquel would produce an all-French final Sunday, where the tournament's champion will make $120,000.
