Louisville was sluggish all day and could have been anticipating its match-up against fellow unbeaten West Virginia on Nov. 2.

For Syracuse (3-5, 0-3 Big East), Perry Patterson Jr. was 24-of-41 for 304 yards, one touchdown, and one interception; Mike Williams scored a touchdown on five catches for 99 yards; and Patrick Shadle kicked two field goals.

This is the best start to a season in 81 years for Louisville.

The Orange suffered their 10th straight Big East defeat.
