DAVIE, Fla., Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Marcus Vick, the brother of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, has been added to the active roster of the Miami Dolphins.
Vick has been a member of the team's taxi squad for the first six weeks of the season.
Marcus Vick was an undrafted free agent signed earlier this year and switched to wide receiver. As a junior, he was kicked off the team at Virginia Tech in January when he was involved in several incidents off the football field that led to his eventual ouster.
The team said he is being activated to provide depth at quarterback while Daunte Culpepper focuses on rehabilitating his right knee.
Culpepper suffered severe damage to the knee while with the Minnesota Vikings last season, and his lack of mobility this year had hampered his performance.
After a bruised throwing shoulder and being sacked 21 times in the Dolphins' first four games, Culpepper was benched in favor of Joey Harrington.
