SEATTLE, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Washington Huskies starting quarterback Isaiah Stanback has a foot injury that will keep him out of action for eight to 12 months.
Stanback, a senior, was injured last Saturday during the Huskies' 27-17 loss to Oregon State. He was second in the Pac-10 Conference and 22nd nationally in total offense -- 239.3 yards a game -- while playing for the 4-3 Huskies.
The injury to Stanback's right foot has been diagnosed as a Lisfranc injury, school officials said. Treatments will include surgery and Stanback will be in a cast for at least six weeks after that procedure. Physicians said rehabilitation could take 12 months.
Junior Carl Bonnell has been tabbed to take over as the starting quarterback for the Huskies, who play at California Saturday.
