DENVER, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- In a stiff defensive tussle Sunday night, Denver beat the winless Oakland Raiders, 13-3.
Denver's Tatum Bell rushed for a 2-yard score late in the first quarter for the game's lone touchdown.
Overall, he gained 83 yards on 23 carries.
Jake Plummer completed 11 of 18 passes for 102 yards; Javon Walker caught four passes for 75 yards; and Jason Elam kicked two field goals for the Broncos (4-1), who have won four straight and held their opponents to a combined 37 points in those games.
Their defense recorded four sacks, one interception and a forced fumble.
For the Raiders (0-5), Andrew Walter was 13-of-26 for 189 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception; LaMont Jordan gained 60 yards on 23 carries; Randy Moss made five receptions for 86 yards; and Sebastian Janikowski kicked a 47-yard field goal midway through the third period.
Oakland is the only team yet to win a game this season.
