Haas five ahead at Administaff Classic

SPRING, Texas, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Jay Haas birdied five of his last six holes Saturday to post a 9-under 63 and take the second-round lead at the Administaff Small Business Classic in Texas.

Haas is at 16-under 128 and five shots ahead of Bruce Lietzke and Tom Purtzer.

Lietzke made a four-foot eagle putt at the 18th hole to shoot a 6-under 66. Purtzer two-putted from 15 feet for a birdie at the last and a 4-under 68. The two are at 11-under 133.

Dick Mast, who shared the first-round lead with Haas and Purtzer, bogeyed the last hole as he carded a 69 and is alone in fourth place at 10-under 134.
