COL FB: Auburn 27, Florida 17

AUBURN, Ala., Oct. 14 (UPI) -- The 10th-ranked Auburn Tigers knocked the third-ranked Florida Gators out of the unbeaten ranks Saturday night as they posted a 27-17 victory.

Tre Smith's nine-yard return off a blocked punt sparked the Tigers (6-1, 4-1 SEC), who did not score an offensive touchdown in the game. Auburn used two defensive scores, a safety and four John Vaughn field goals for its points.

Brandon Cox completed 18-of-27 passes for 182 yards for the Tigers, who bounced back after losing to Arkansas squad at home, 27-10, last week. Brad Lester added 94 yards rushing.

Chris Leak completed just 9-of-17 passes for 113 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Gators (6-1, 4-1), who lost for the first time in nine games dating back to last season. Percy Harvin had 66 rushing yards on five carries.
