Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- The Minnesota Vikings signed veteran wide receiver Bethel Johnson Tuesday to a four-year contract.
Johnson, drafted in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft by New England, has 30 receptions for 450 yards and four touchdowns during his four-year career.
As a special teams player, he has returned 102 kickoffs for 2,557 yards with two TDs.
Johnson was traded to New Orleans prior to the 2006 campaign, but the Saints cut him before the regular season started.
