Love, Couch share lead at Chrysler Classic

GREENSBORO, N.C., Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Davis Love III and Chris Couch are tied for the lead after three rounds at the PGA Chrysler Classic at Greensboro, N.C.

Love, who hasn't won in three years, shot a 4-under 68 to tie Couch at 10-under 206 -- good enough for a three-stroke lead.

Love seeks his first victory since winning four times in 2003. Couch is looking for his second win of the season after getting his first at the Zurich Classic in April.

Temperatures were in the low 50s Saturday and players endured steady rain.

Love, the 1992 champion, is one of four players who share the course record at Forest Oaks. But this week is the first time he has made the cut there since his design team rebuilt the host course in 2002-03.

"I was a little disappointed the last few years here, so it's nice to be on the good side," said Love, who is back after five weeks off.
