ST. ANDREWS, Scotland, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Bradley Dredge of Wales will carry a one-shot lead into Sunday's final round of the European Tour's Dunhill Links Championship at St. Andrews, Scotland.

In Saturday's third round, Dredge, who won the Omega European Masters last month, was able to shoot 1-under-par 71 to maintain the lead he grabbed in the second round the day before.

"I struggled a bit (but) I take some confidence from my victory in Switzerland and I'm looking forward to tomorrow," said Dredge, who, with an overall score of 13-under 202, leads second place Padraig Harrington of Ireland (68) by the one-shot.

Harrington's total is 12-under 203.

"I played well early on and hit it superb for 11 holes," Harrington said. "I still have a chance."

American Edward Loar is alone in third place at 9-under 206.

Ernie Els (71) of South Africa and India's Vijay Singh (72) also are in contention at 8-under 207.
