COL FB: Ohio St. 35, Bowling Green 7

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Troy Smith threw for 189 yards and three touchdowns Saturday afternoon as top-ranked Ohio State beat Bowling Green, 35-7.

Smith completed 17 of his 20 passes and added 54 yards rushing on only seven attempts. Ted Ginn Jr. made a career-high 10 receptions for 122 yards and Antonio Pittman ran for 61 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries for the Buckeyes (6-0), who ran their winning streak to 13 games.

For most of the final two quarters, OSU used its bench players.

Bowling Green quarterback Anthony Turner was 16-of-24 passing for 179 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Corey Partridge had four receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown, Chris Bullock gained 72 yards on 21 carries and Dan Macon rushed for 63 yards on three carries for the Falcons (3-3), who had won three of their last four games before Saturday's loss.
