NHL: Minnesota 3, Colorado 2 (OT)

ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Todd White scored 1:03 into overtime as the Minnesota Wild beat the Colorado Avalanche, 3-2, Thursday night.

Marian Gaborik and Branko Radivojevic each had a goal and an assist for the Wild. Pavol Demitra, who signed as a free agent with Minnesota during the off-season had two assists.

Minnesota goaltender Manny Fernandez had 29 assists.

Brad Richardson scored twice for the Avalanche, who had opened their season Wednesday with a 3-2 overtime loss to Dallas.

Colorado goaltender Peter Budaj allowed three goals on 33 shots.
