NEW YORK, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Wide receiver Santana Moss of Washington was among the players Wednesday named to weekly NFC players honors.
The six-year veteran, who was the NFC Offensive Player of the Week, scored three touchdowns on four receptions for 138 yards against Jacksonville.
His fourth reception of the game went for 68 yards and a score 1:49 into overtime, giving the Redskins a 36-30 victory over the Jaguars.
It was the third time in his career Moss, a first-round draft pick by the New York Jets in 2001, scored three touchdowns in a game and the three scoring catches in one game tied a franchise record.
Also earning NFC honors were Atlanta kicker Morten Andersen (special teams), who was 5-for-5 in field goals in the Falcons' 32-10 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, and Chicago defensive tackle Tommie Harris (defense), who recorded five tackles, two sacks and four quarterback hurries as the Bears routed Seattle, 37-6.
