NFL: Kansas City 41, San Francisco 0

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Damon Huard threw two touchdown passes Sunday afternoon as Kansas City routed San Francisco, 41-0, for its first win of the season.

Playing for the injured Trent Green, Huard was 18-of-23 passing for 208 yards and threw no interceptions; Larry Johnson had two touchdowns on 30 carries for 101 yards; Eddie Kennison had one touchdown on six catches for 86 yards; and Dante Hall also caught a touchdown pass for the Chiefs (1-2).

Alex Smith was just 13-of-25 for 92 yards and two interceptions; Frank Gore rushed for 65 yards on 14 carries; and Arnaz Battle made three catches for 34 yards for the 49ers (1-3).

San Francisco has not won since a 20-13 victory on Sept. 17 against St. Louis.
