Four players each had one hit for the Nationals (71-90), who have dropped three of their last four games.

Losing pitcher Beltran Perez (2-1) allowed six runs and six hits in three innings.

Before the game, Washington confirmed that Manager Frank Robinson would not return next season and the Mets said veteran right-hander Pedro Martinez has undergone right rotator cuff surgery.
