ML: Seattle 3, Texas 1

SEATTLE, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Adrian Beltre hit two home runs and had three RBI Saturday afternoon as Seattle beat the Texas Rangers, 3-1.

In its victory, the Mariners (77-84) had only six hits, but snapped a three-game losing streak.

Winner Felix Hernandez (12-14) scattered a run and four hits over seven innings with no walks and five strikeouts.

J.J. Putz recorded his 35th save.

Mark Texeira hit a solo homer for the lone run and had two of the five hits for the Rangers (80-81), who have split their last four games.

Losing pitcher Kevin Millwood (16-12) gave up three runs and six hits in six innings with no walks and five strikeouts.
