GAINESVILLE, Fla., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Chris Leak threw a pair of touchdown passes Saturday while leading the fifth-ranked Florida Gators to a 28-13 victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Leak was 14-of-20 for 174 yards while fellow signal-caller Tim Tebow rushed for 28 yards and a TD for Florida (5-0, 3-0 SEC), which is off to its best start since 2001.

Dallas Baker and Andre Caldwell each had a receiving touchdown, while Reggie Nelson had a 70-yard interception return for a score to help the Gators overcome an early 10-point deficit.

John Parker Wilson was 21-of-40 for 240 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions for the Crimson Tide (3-2, 1-2), who were edged by Arkansas in double overtime last week. Kenneth Darby led the rushing attack with 76 yards on 14 carries. D.J. Hall had six catches for 117 yards.
