
MADISON, Miss., Sept. 29 (UPI) -- D.J. Trahan leads by two shots after 36 holes of the PGA's Southern Farm Bureau Classic in Madison, Miss.
In Friday's second round, Trahan followed up his opening score of 7-under-par 65 with a 4-under 68 for an overall total of 11-under 133.
"(Again) I hit the ball very well and I gave myself plenty of opportunities," said Trahan, who led after round one for the second time in his PGA Tour career.
Joe Durant (65) and Brad Faxon (67) are tied for second place at 9-under 135.
Mathias Gronberg (68) is alone in fourth at 8-under 136.
Skip Kendall is fifth at 7-under 137, and a group of four players -- Robert Damron (69), Ted Purdy (70), Troy Matteson (66), and Nick Watney (71) -- is one shot further back at 6-under 138.
Among the players who missed the cut were Jeff Sluman (146), Joey Sindelar (146), and Bob Tway (146).
