Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

DAVIE, Fla., Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Drew Henson worked out for the Miami Dolphins at the team's facility in Davie, Fla., a newspaper reported Wednesday.
Henson's workout was not related to the early struggles of Miami's starting quarterback Daunte Culpepper, a source close to Henson told The Miami Herald.
It is not likely Henson will be signed to fill any immediate need, the newspaper said.
Before the season's start, Dolphins coach Nick Saban said he was pleased with the team's depth at the quarterback position, including third-stringer Cleo Lemon, the Herald reported.
Henson, who has not thrown a pass during a game since 2004, was released by the Cowboys in August.
