Two Virginia Players suspended for game

BLACKSBURG, Va., Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Virginia Tech Coach Frank Beamer announced Monday that two starting players have been suspended for Saturday's game with Georgia Tech.

Beamer said junior defensive end Chris Ellis and junior wide receiver Josh Morgan have been suspended due to a violation of team policy. He did not elaborate.

Ellis, a Hampton, Va., native, started the first four games this season and totaled 12 tackles and one sack. Morgan has caught 10 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns.

The Washington, D.C., native is the second-leading receiver on the team and also has blocked two punts this season.
