NFL: Chicago 19, Minnesota 16

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Rex Grossman threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Rashied Davis with 1:53 left Sunday afternoon as the Chicago Bears beat the Minnesota Vikings, 19-16.

Grossman, who threw two critical interceptions before the game winner, was 23-of-41 passing for 278 yards. Muhsin Muhammad had 118 yards on nine catches, Davis had 48 yards and the one score on three receptions, and Thomas Jones gained 54 yards on 18 rushing attempts for the Bears (3-0).

Minnesota quarterback Brad Johnson went 21-of-31 for 194 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions. Chester Taylor ran for 74 yards on 20 carries and caught three passes for 15 yards, and Troy Williamson had four receptions for 39 yards for the Vikings (2-1).

The teams combined to lose three fumbles -- two by Minnesota.
