FOXBORO, Mass., Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Clint Dempsey scored for New England and Scott Sealy scored for Kansas City Saturday night as the Revolution and the Wizards played to a 1-1 tie.

Dempsey scored his sixth goal of the season 17 minutes into the match with a diving header to beat goalkeeper Bo Oshoniyi.

New England went into the locker room with a 1-0 lead, which looked promising for the home side, as the Revolution were 8-0 this season when leading at the break.

The Wizards tied the match in the 58th minute when Sealy played the ball down off his chest for a toe-poke volley into the back netting. Sasha Victorine and Ryan Raybould collectively assisted Sealy's eighth goal of the season.

New England would have clinched a playoff spot with a win.
