MLB: Houston 5, Cincinnati 3

HOUSTON, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Brad Ausmus drove in two runs and scored another during a four-run second inning Monday to lead the Houston Astros to a 5-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

Roy Oswalt allowed two runs on eight hits before leaving with muscle spasms in his neck with two outs in the seventh inning. The right-hander struck out eight and didn't walk a batter. Oswalt won his fourth-straight start and fifth consecutive decision. Oswalt (14-8) is 8-1 in his last 11 starts.

Ausmus ended 2-for-4 and Craig Biggio also drove in a run for the Astros, who ended a three-game slide and won for just the second time in their last eight games.

Todd Hollandsworth and Ray Olmedo each hit a homer for the Reds, who have lost three straight and five of their last six games.
