MLB: Chicago Cubs 11, Philadelphia 6

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Aramis Ramirez homered twice and drove in a career-high seven runs Monday to power the Chicago Cubs to an 11-6 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.

Ramirez was 4-for-5 while Ryan Theriot collected three hits and scored three times for the Cubs, who have won four of their last five games.

Sean Marshall allowed six runs on five hits in 3 1/3 innings. Michael Wuertz (3-1) threw a pair of hitless innings to pick up the win.

Jon Lieber (8-10) lasted just 2 1/3 innings as he gave up five runs on five hits.

Jose Hernandez hit a grand slam and Chris Coste drove in a run for the Phillies, who are 1 1/2 games behind Los Angeles for the National League wild card.
