COL FB: Southern Cal 28, Nebraska 10

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- John David Booty threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns Saturday as second-ranked Southern California posted a 28-10 win over 19th-ranked Nebraska.

Booty was making his first home start for the Trojans (2-0), who have won 47 of their past 49 games. The junior quarterback completed 25-of-36 passes.

His top target was all-American wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett, who caught 11 passes for 136 yards and two scores. Emmanuel Moody led USC on the ground with 70 yards on just nine carries.

Zac Taylor was 8-of-16 for 115 yards passing for the Cornhuskers (2-1), who have never beaten Southern California. Kenny Wilson rushed for 46 yards on 19 carries while Brando Jackson had four receptions for 36 yards.
