NEW YORK, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Josmer Altidore's late goal gave the New York Red Bulls a 1-0 MLS victory Saturday over the Columbus Crew.

For the contest, one goal was scored, two yellow cards were handed out and three players were ejected.

Columbus played one man down until the 64th minute, when New York's Mike Magee collected a red card. Marcos Gonzalez gave the Red Bulls the advantage again only seven minutes later when the Crew player picked up red card number three.

Seth Stammler claimed the assist when Altidore's fifth goal of the season broke the scoreless tie in the 83rd minute.
